New Satellite Launch Expands Service Reach to Oil and Gas Sector

With the launch of the new AMC21 satellite, NewCom is poised to offer even greater service to the oil and gas sector and beyond. The satellite, which was activated in September, features two strong beams that cover the Caribbean and Gulf areas as well as all 50 states in the U.S. – with excellent coverage of the concentrated oil and gas regions in Texas, Miami, the U.S. East Coast, and Canada. NewCom was the first teleport service to tap into the new source. Our antenna, the largest to point to the AMC21 satellite, features full redundant systems and high-capacity power, enabling us to provide our customers with cost-efficient, unsurpassed communications capabilities throughout the Caribbean and the United States.

NewCom Tackles Regional Development, Communications Efficiencies at Africa, Mexico Summits

The last two months of 2008 found NewCom in back-to-back summits – the AfricaCom event and eStrategies Conference in South Africa, followed by the Next Generation Oil & Gas Summit in Mexico.
